Recap: Griswold Wolverines vs. Windham Whippets
The Griswold Wolverines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 62-19 loss at the hands of Windham. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Griswold has scored all season.
Leading Windham to victory were Asihja Harris and Aniya Jenkins. Harris dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Jenkins scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Jenkins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Lebiszczak, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Griswold's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Windham, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Griswold is on the road again on Thursday and play against St. Bernard at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. As for Windham, they will be playing at home against Tourtellotte at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
