Baseball Recap: Pittsburg Comes Up Short

Pittsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Haileyville Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 back in March.

Pittsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Haileyville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Pittsburg has already played their next game, a 10-1 loss against Clayton on the 10th. As for Haileyville, they will challenge Wewoka at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.6 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
