Basketball Recap: St. Maries Victorious

St. Maries lost to Priest River last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The St. Maries Lumberjacks secured a 65-61 W over the Priest River Spartans.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Palmer Coleman, who went 6-for-12 en route to 17 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Those 17 points gave Coleman a new career-high. Brock Kreager was another key player, going 5-for-11 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

The win got St. Maries back to even at 11-11. As for Priest River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-6.

St. Maries has already played their next contest, a 52-42 victory against Kellogg on the 27th. Priest River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
