            The Timothy Christian Trojans will venture away from home to  take on the Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Timothy Christian is coming into the  matchup on  a  six-game losing streak.
Timothy Christian's last matchup with Chicago Hope Academy could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's  game on Tuesday. The Trojans came up short against  Chicago Hope Academy, falling  10-3.
Meanwhile, Marian Central Catholic hadn't done well against Aurora Christian recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Hurricanes were the clear victors by  a  12-4 margin over the Eagles. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Hurricanes as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
 Adam Wrzos was a  major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   nine  hits (and only one walk). He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Marian Central Catholic is 2-1 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 4-12 otherwise. Wrzos was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Colin Hernon, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jackson Hatfield, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Marian Central Catholic  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .538. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in four consecutive  contests.
 Timothy Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Marian Central Catholic, their record now sits at 6-13.
 Timothy Christian beat Marian Central Catholic 9-4  when the teams last played  back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
