Soccer Recap: Excelsior Classical Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Henderson Collegiate on Tuesday, Excelsior Classical Academy came back down to earth. The Flying Lions came up short against the Roxboro Community Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 9-0. Excelsior Classical Academy have struggled against Roxboro Community recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Excelsior Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Roxboro Community, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5-1.

Excelsior Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 defeat against Graham on the 22nd. As for Roxboro Community, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Eno River Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. Eno River Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Roxboro Community surely won't give up without a fight.
