Baseball Recap: Christian Fellowship Takes a Loss

Christian Fellowship was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-7 to the Plaza Heights Christian Academy Lions. If Christian Fellowship was looking for revenge after losing 12-7 to Plaza Heights Christian Academy when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Carson Crockett put in work no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Crockett was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Crockett wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brett Conklin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was Conklin's first of the season. Carson File was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Christian Fellowship's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Christian Fellowship will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Gateway Legacy Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Braymer at 5:30 p.m. on the 18th.
