Declan McRoberts Game Report: vs South

El Segundo had to settle for second on Wednesday, but Declan McRoberts sure wasn't going down easily. McRoberts wasn't messing around, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. The pitching appearance was his fifth straight with one or fewer earned runs.

Even though McRoberts couldn't lead El Segundo over South, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, McRoberts' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Eagles' eight-game streak of wins at home.
