The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pacifica, who took down 365th ranked Cypress, 38-8.

The Mariners moved up to 335 from 426 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Empire. Pacifica climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Centurions 38-8.

Yorba Linda's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Summers threw for 153 and two touchdowns and Shad Pace had 105 yards receiving. On the ground Angel Ochoa chipped in 107 yards. Lorenzo Ruiz helped Yorba Linda's passing attack out by catching two balls for 31 yards.

Yorba Linda's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Summers has thrown for 1529 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Pace has 49 catches for 719 yards. Ochoa leads the league in rushing with 512 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Mustangs take on Marcello Giuliano's team. Yorba Linda is in second place, while the Mariners are in fourth place.

Tustin extended the longest winning streak in Empire this week by beating Western, 82-7. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Tillers.
