Wilson Memorial is 9-1 against Staunton since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Green Hornets are taking a road trip to square off against the Storm at 5:30 p.m.

Wilson Memorial easily dispatched Stuarts Draft on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Green Hornets fell just short of Fort Defiance by a score of 10-8 on Saturday. The Green Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Staunton beat Central Woodstock 6-3 on Friday.

Staunton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zack Hinkle, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That run was Hinkle's first of the season. Gabe Johnson was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Staunton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in three consecutive games.

Wilson Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Staunton, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.

Everything went Wilson Memorial's way against Staunton in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Wilson Memorial made off with a 14-2 victory. Will the Green Hornets repeat their success, or do the Storm have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
