Baseball Recap: El Diamante Takes a Loss

El Diamante was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dos Pueblos Chargers.

Noah Pena was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesus Salazar, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

El Diamante's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-1. As for Dos Pueblos, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

El Diamante didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 loss against Paso Robles on the 15th. As for Dos Pueblos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Pleasant Valley on the 15th.
