Flag Football Recap: Sunrise Mountain Mustangs vs. Highland Hawks
Thursday just wasn't the day for Sunrise Mountain's offense. They had to suffer through a 51-0 loss at the hands of the Highland Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Hawks are ranked first).
Alexis Eley had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 213 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.9% of her passes, and also rushing for 111 yards on only nine carries for Highland. Eley has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times she's played. 96 of Eley's passing yards were hauled in by Ela Witcher.
