Softball Game Preview: Franklin Sabers vs. Indian Trail Hawks

The Franklin Sabers will face off against the Indian Trail Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games Franklin has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Franklin needed a bit of extra time to put away Kenosha Tremper. They had just enough and edged out the Trojans 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Sabers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Indian Trail never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Wilmot as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by six runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Indian Trail and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Franklin beat Indian Trail 8-5 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Sabers repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
