Daingerfield extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 7-3. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the New Boston Lions 54-7. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tigers just coasted through the last quarter.

Daingerfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Micah Broughton, who rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Broughton a new career-high. Reign Wallace was another key pass catcher, picking up 89 receiving yards and three TDs.

As for New Boston, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-4. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, New Boston saw an underclassman step up: freshman Javonte Giddens rushed for 97 yards and one score.

Daingerfield and New Boston are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Tigers will square off against Harmony at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Boston, they will face off against Edgewood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
