Softball Game Preview: Tates Creek Commodores vs. Clinton County Bulldogs

The Tates Creek Commodores will face off against the Clinton County Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tates Creek is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Lincoln County a 19-0 shutout on Thursday. The Commodores have beaten the Patriots the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Patriots has come to flipping the script.

Tates Creek got a massive performance out of Alexis Bazzell, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave Bazzell a new career-high. Madison Bowman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Tates Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln County only posted an OBP of .273.

Meanwhile, Clinton County was able to grind out a solid victory over Webster County on Thursday, taking the game 6-2.

Clinton County's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Tates Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
