Basketball Game Preview: Emerson Pirates vs. Nevada Blue Jays

Emerson hasn't had much luck against Nevada recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Emerson Pirates will take on the Nevada Blue Jays at 5:00 a.m.

Emerson is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They fell 53-40 to Columbia Christian.

Meanwhile, Nevada came tearing into Thursday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 50-38 win over the Dragons.

Nevada pushed their record up to 25-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Emerson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.

Emerson came up short against Nevada in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 77-70. Can Emerson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
