Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wake Forest walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Garner Trojans on Friday as they made off with an 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 14 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Wake Forest, bringing their record up to 19-4. As for Garner, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wake Forest beat the Trojans by a score of 11-0 later that day.
