Volleyball Preview: Joshua Owls vs. Everman Bulldogs
The Joshua Owls will head out to challenge the Everman Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Joshua is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Joshua is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Centennial just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2.
Joshua actually scored more points across those five sets (108-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 27-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-10.
Meanwhile, Everman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cleburne.
Joshua's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-13. As for Everman, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Joshua beat Everman 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2017. The rematch might be a little tougher for Joshua since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
