Baseball Recap: Pitman Beats Modesto for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Pitman came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Modesto Panthers with a sharp 10-2 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 17-2 victory on Wednesday.

Pitman got a massive performance out of Jackson Way, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The Pride are 6-1 when Way posts two or more runs, but 5-14 otherwise. Blake Rose also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Pitman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in four consecutive games.

Pitman's record now sits at 11-15. As for Modesto, they dropped their record down to 3-22-1 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Pitman nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
