Softball Recap: Allen East Takes a Loss

Allen East was the 8-2 winner over Miller City when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-6 on Friday.

Allen East saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Wireman, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Harper Friesner was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Allen East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Miller City, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Allen East will take on Columbus Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Miller City, they will face off against Ottawa-Glandorf at 5:00 a.m. on Monday.
