Volleyball Recap: Central Noble Cougars vs. Westview Warriors
Central Noble was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Westview Warriors. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
Central Noble took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-21.
Jaylee Slone paced Central Noble's offense, picking up eight kills. Slone got some help from Jalayna Winebrenner and her seven assists. Grace Swank controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Westview can attribute much of their success to Graci Engle, who had 13 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Engle has posted over her last seven contests.
Central Noble's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Westview, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.
Central Noble wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Fairfield on the 2nd. As for Westview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Fremont on the 2nd.
