At the plate, Kaitlyn Ferguson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Julie Boyles also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Pendleton County won against Tucker County on Tuesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Everything went the Wildcat's way against Tygarts Valley as they made off with a 16-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcat, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Susan Vincell and Jacey Thompson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Vincell pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Thompson tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Vincell has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Vincell got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Thompson went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Vincell a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Callie Judy, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Pendleton County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tygarts Valley only posted an OBP of .400.
Pendleton County's record now sits at 8-3. As for Hampshire, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
Hampshire suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Pendleton County when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
