Soccer Game Preview: Centreville vs. George C. Marshall

The Centreville Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the George C. Marshall Statesmen at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Centreville's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Centreville is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Langley on Monday. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Saxons.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask George C. Marshall). They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over South Lakes on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win got George C. Marshall back to even at 3-3-1. As for Centreville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
