Soccer Game Preview: Selah vs. Othello

Selah hasn't had much luck against Othello recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Vikings will look to defend their home pitch against the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. Selah's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Toppenish who was credited with the win on Saturday. The Wildcats got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Selah's one. The loss was Selah's first of the season.

Othello's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over East Valley. The game was the first time Othello have beaten East Valley on their pitch since April 2, 2022.

The win made it two in a row for Othello and bumps their season record up to 5-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Selah, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1-1.
