Basketball Recap: Russell County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rehobeth last Tuesday, Russell County came back down to earth. The Russell County Warriors were outmatched by the Park Crossing Thunderbirds and fell 91-39. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while the Thunderbirds are ranked seventh).

Russell County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Park Crossing, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Park Crossing beat Russell County by a score of 91-39 on Monday.
