Volleyball Recap: Frederick Takes a Loss

Frederick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Mead Mavericks, falling 3-0. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mavericks when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-14.

Isabelle Ramer paced Frederick's offense, picking up seven kills. Ramer got some help from Marisol Tembrock and her ten assists. Finally, Gianna Mohr kept Frederick's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Mead was led to victory by Alana Costello and Kamdyn Morris. Costello had nine digs and three aces, while Morris had ten assists and two aces. That's the most aces Costello has posted over her last six contests.

Frederick's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Mead, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Frederick has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Monarch on the 16th. As for Mead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Fairview on the 16th.
