Baseball Recap: Southern Comes Up Short

Southern lost against Columbiana on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Indians lost 18-4 to the Clippers. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Brown, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Ethan Richards, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Southern's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Columbiana, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-9.

Looking ahead, Southern will welcome United at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Columbiana, they will challenge Howland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
