Baseball Recap: North Valley Christian Academy Drops Season-High Score on Heritage Academy

After only two runs in their last matchup, North Valley Christian Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Heritage Academy on Tuesday. The North Valley Christian Academy Lions came out on top against the Heritage Academy Heroes by a score of 10-5. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Sam Primack and Daniel Schoenleb made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Primack struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Schoenleb tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. At bat, Primack scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4, while Schoenleb scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, Schoenleb posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Duvuagn Pryce, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brayden Collins, who scored a run and stole a base.

North Valley Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9-1. As for Heritage Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4-1.

Coming up, North Valley Christian Academy will host Tempe Prep at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Tempe Prep has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5 runs per game on average), something North Valley Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Heritage Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Highland Prep West at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
