On Monday, the Coalfield Yellow Jackets narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the York Institute Dragons 53-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.

Coalfield's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for York Institute, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coalfield won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Jellico at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for York Institute, they will head out on the road to face off against Knoxville Catholic on Saturday. Knoxville Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully York Institute likes a good challenge.
