Softball Recap: Alleghany Takes a Loss

The matchup between Alleghany and Surry Central on Monday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Alleghany Trojans lost 16-6 to the Surry Central Golden Eagles. The Trojans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Ellie Crouse made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lila Williams, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Alleghany's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Alleghany will be playing in front of their home fans against South Stokes at 5:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for Surry Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against West Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
