Baseball Game Preview: Seneca Red Hawks vs. Doss Dragons

The Seneca Red Hawks will head out to face off against the Doss Dragons at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. Seneca has given up an average of 21.5 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Seneca headed into their last match having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Central let them put that streak behind them. The Red Hawks blew past the Yellow Jackets 21-14 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Hawks as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Doss was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-2 to Moore.

Seneca's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Doss, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Seneca's way against Doss when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Seneca made off with a 17-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
