Softball Recap: Bloom Blazing Trojan vs. Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals
In what's become a running theme this season, Bloom gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals as the Bloom Blazing Trojan made off with a 16-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for Bloom who now have 11 in a row.
Mya Tovar was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit over four innings pitched. Tovar was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with a home run and a double.
In other batting news, Bloom got a massive performance out of Natalia Banuelos, who went 2-for-2 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI. Another player making a difference was Martha Mendoza, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
