Baseball Recap: Armstrong Comes Up Short

After soaring to 18 runs the game before, Armstrong was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell just short of the Indiana Little Indians by a score of 2-1. The River Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Little Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Armstrong saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Delano, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Armstrong dropped their record down to 7-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 2.5 runs. As for Indiana, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Armstrong does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indiana, they will take on Butler at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Little Indians 2.1, the Golden Tornado 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
