Soccer Recap: American Fork Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Farmington

American Fork faced Farmington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Cavemen lost 3-0 to the Phoenix. American Fork were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Farmington apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The defeat snapped American Fork's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-2 record. As for Farmington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

American Fork will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Corner Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on September 9. As for Farmington, they will venture away from home to square off against Bonneville at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
