Basketball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 81-51 loss at the hands of the Ensworth Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Tigers are ranked 41st).

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Ensworth, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Riverdale and Franklin will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ensworth, they will face off against Gibbs at 9:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Ensworth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
