Economedes and La Joya are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2016, but likely not for long. The Economedes Jaguars will welcome the La Joya Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Economedes is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Economedes faced off against Edinburg on Tuesday. Economedes was the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Edinburg. Considering the Jaguars have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, La Joya's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against Edinburg North, falling 3-0.

Economedes pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five games. As for La Joya, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-4.
