Softball Recap: Churchville-Chili Saints vs. Canandaigua Academy Braves
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Victor, Churchville-Chili was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Canandaigua Academy Braves. The Saints have beaten the Braves the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Braves has come to flipping the script.
Bailey DiGiacomo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Carly Carpenter was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Jordan Sassone was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
