The Liberty Patriots will face off against the Snyder Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
Last Tuesday, Liberty got the win against Big Spring by a conclusive 15-4. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Hudson Hefner looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nash Gonzales, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Gavin McPherson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
Liberty always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Big Spring only posted an OBP of .458.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Snyder's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Levelland.
Ethan Rios was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Snyder is 3-1 when Rios posts two or more runs, but 3-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Callen Green, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Liberty pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Snyder, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
Liberty was able to grind out a solid victory over Snyder in their previous meeting back in March, winning 8-4. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
