Softball Recap: South Adams Starfires vs. Eastside Blazers
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Adams had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eastside Blazers 4-3. The victory was familiar territory for South Adams who now have four in a row.
Addie Baker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Sofia Schwartz was excellent, going 3-for-3 with three RBI and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Pries, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
South Adams is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 23-6.
