It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Southmont had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Western Boone Stars 33-11. The Mounties might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Avery Stadler produced another solid performance rushing for 202 yards and two touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, making five total tackles, and defending one pass. Heath Tolliver was another key rusher, rushing for 81 yards and one TD.

Southmont's run defense was locked in: Western Boone could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Camden Laney for the heroic effort on defense: he. Southmont didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.8.

The victory was the third in a row for Southmont, bringing their record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.7 points over those games. As for Western Boone, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Southmont will venture away from home to square off against Lewis Cass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Stadler and Gavin Smith. Western Boone does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
