Softball Recap: Woodbridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dover last Thursday, Woodbridge came back down to earth. The Raiders fell just short of the Sussex Tech Ravens by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. The Raiders have struggled against the Ravens recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Kalli Chelton and Kimora Harris stepped up to the plate in a big way. Chelton went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Harris scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Hare, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Woodbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Sussex Tech, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodbridge will head out to square off against Indian River at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sussex Tech, they will challenge Smyrna at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
