Baseball Recap: Jordan Drops Highest Score of Season Against Highland

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jordan). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Highland Rams a 20-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Beetdiggers haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

JOSEPH PEAK looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, JAYDEN MONTOYA was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was KODY KEMP, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .675. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Jordan's record is now 4-1. As for Highland, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Jordan will have a chance to go back-to-back against Highland: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
