Albertville extended their winning streak to ten on Friday, bumping them up to 23-4. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-60 W against the Guntersville Wildcats. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 70-67 victory two weeks ago.

Albertville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lani Smallwood, who posted 14 points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds. Smallwood has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gracyn Robeson, who shot 42% from the field en route to 21 points.

Albertville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.

As for Guntersville, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 25-4 record. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (56), they still had to take the loss.

ADDISON HAMMOND and KENNA'D BUIE certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. HAMMOND went 8-for-14 to rack up 22 points and four steals, while BUIE shot 46% from the field on her way to 15 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of KYNDEL GRAY, who scored nine points.

Albertville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 87-70 win against Muscle Shoals on the 3rd. As for Guntersville, they have also already played their next game, a 73-37 victory against Section on the 3rd.
