Basketball Recap: Parrish Community Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

If Palmetto wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Parrish Community, they should've done a better job of containing Jayna Bowen. The Parrish Community Bulls simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Palmetto Tigers 72-40 thanks in part to Bowen, who dropped a triple-double on 28 points, 14 rebounds, and ten steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Romana Lind, who posted 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Parrish Community's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14. As for Palmetto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Parrish Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Bayshore on the 28th. As for Palmetto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-40 defeat against IMG Academy Blue on the 25th.
