Basketball Recap: Jefferson County North Comes Up Short

Jefferson County North lost against Troy last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jefferson County North Chargers took a 51-35 bruising from the Troy Trojans. The Chargers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Troy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaston Jasper, who went 6 for 11 en route to 17 points and three steals. Those 17 points gave Jasper a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Blevins, who posted 11 points and eight steals.

Jefferson County North's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Troy, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Jefferson County North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-37 defeat against Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy on the 5th. As for Troy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 80-59 loss against Valley Falls on the 7th.
