Basketball Recap: Indio Comes Up Short

If Indio was feeling good fresh off their 72-25 takedown of Yucca Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indio Rajahs fell to the La Quinta Blackhawks 64-59. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rajahs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-38 last Monday.

Indio's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for La Quinta, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Indio wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-41 loss against Desert Christian Academy on the 11th. As for La Quinta, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Rancho Mirage at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Rancho Mirage's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
