Softball Recap: Washington Wildcats vs. Sumner Academy Sabres

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 20-5 to the Sumner Academy Sabres. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sabres this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-5 on April 2nd.

Evelyn Her made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Miarrayh Scott was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Sumner Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5.

Washington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-0 loss against Leavenworth on the 29th.
