Softball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 20-5 to the Sumner Academy Sabres. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sabres this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-5 on April 2nd.

Evelyn Her made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Miarrayh Scott was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Sumner Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5.

Washington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-0 loss against Leavenworth on the 29th. As for Sumner Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-9 win against Bishop Ward on the 29th.
