Football Recap: Ridge Community Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Ridge Community unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Auburndale Bloodhounds at home by a 14-0 margin on Tuesday. The Bolts haven't had much luck with the Bloodhounds recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ridge Community didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aleena Carelus and Jasmine Miller.

The critical scores for Auburndale came from Chloe Cassista, Jakara Holland, Reagan Guidry, and Demi Serman.

Ridge Community wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 28-0 win against Winter Haven on the 20th. As for Auburndale, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 46-0 victory against McLaughlin on the 20th.
