Soccer Game Preview: LaBelle vs. Lely

LaBelle and Lely are an even 3-3-1 against one another since December of 2014, but likely not for long. The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls will be playing at home against the Lely Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

LaBelle's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over DeSoto County. Considering the Cowboys/Cowgirls have won four games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Lely hasn't lost a match since December 3rd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. Neither they nor Oasis could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Lely's goal came courtesy of Angel Otero, who's now up to nine this season.

LaBelle's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6. Lely's draw gives them a new season record of 7-4-3.
