Softball Recap: North Point Eagles vs. Lackey Chargers
North Point put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They never let the Lackey Chargers onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for North Point considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Alyssa Blaney made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Blaney was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a triple and a run.
In other batting news, Morgan Dow was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Ari Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
North Point's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. As for Lackey, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
