Football Recap: St. Andrew's Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Andrew came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders and fell 41-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 42-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Drew Edwards, who rushed for 181 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 112 yards and a pair of TDs. With that strong performance, Edwards is now averaging an impressive 100.3 rushing yards per game.

St. Andrew's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Andrew's will welcome Harvest Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, they will face off against Frederica Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Edwards and Stanton Beverly.
